Reach4Work In The News

We are really proud that this month our employability programme has featured several times in the local press. We have been praised for an ability to adapt quickly to the current crisis.

In truth however, our programme was always designed for the future. We focused on digital skills, collaborative software and Agile management techniques. In 2019 it become clear to us that these 3 elements were inevitably going to be key foundational pillars for millions of jobs.

The 21st century has already proved to be a time of organisational change and uncertainty. The rise of collaborative software, remote working and the high demand for digital skills is nothing new. Our aim has never been to deliver a quick fix but create change which will be long lasting.

The variety of communication techniques and tools to manage projects flexibly offer great advantages to people with long-term health conditions. When designing the latest Reach4Work volunteer programme, we hoped that not only would these tools support disabled people to utilise their talents while volunteering with BuDS, but volunteers would also leave with in‑demand workplace skills. We are really please our success has been recognised.

For those interested, we still have spaces for people who wish to join the programme.
